For teachers and school staff especially, Sharjah can work well because of its strong international community and social networks built around schools, sport, fitness and weekend activities. The lifestyle tends to be more about caf s, beach trips, padel, brunches, fitness, travel and informal socialising than high-end nightlife, although Dubai is close enough for nights out or major events. Overall, it suits young people who want a mix of convenience, community and access to the wider UAE rather than being in the middle of a fast-paced city environment every day.

Desired Candidate Profile

Australian or NZ curriculum experience or strong IB/MYP background.

Bachelor of Science or Maths Education or Science or Maths Degree with PGCE (If one is the major degree the other subject must have at least one course on the transcript)

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience post qualification

Preferred registration as a professional teacher (ie: VIT, QTS, etc)

Applicants must be prepared to be part of a developing team
