Reporting to the senior sales manager, The National Sales Manager (NSM) will develop and implement the goals for all his team s sales activity. Through managing and directing sales team, He/she will achieve sales revenue objectives. He/she will also be responsible for the recruitment and management of 8 direct reports.
About You
You will:
o Manage and direct the team, office and personnel
o Service and present to clients throughout the country
o Oversee direct team by designing and recommending packages for clients
o Develop short- to mid-term sales plans and initiatives for generating sales revenues for regions or segments of accountability
o Interact with major decision makers to convince and influence business decisions
o Build and enhance high level internal and external relationships
o Negotiate and close prominent and complex sales accounts
o Provide accurate revenue budget forecasts and on-going projections for national sales team performance
o Assign accounts and assist in all facets of rep firm management including making recommendations for hiring, training, evaluating and performance incentives.
o Actively participate in the sales process through prospect identification, needs analysis, sales presentations and sales analysis.
o Analyze market data and sales trends; collect and report on research information to ensure sales plans are effective and strategic
o Engage Creative Services, Programming and Production on the creation of sponsorship opportunities that meet the client s needs
You have:
o 8 years of media sales experience required
o 3 years of sales management experience required
o Proven track record of success in developing new business, creative selling techniques, prospecting and customer satisfaction
o Proven track record in developing and growing sales teams
o Experience with managing and developing sales teams
o Strong leadership, motivational, negotiation and problem solving skills
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Excellent presentation
