Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points

Monitor and optimize network performance across all hospital sites

Maintain comprehensive network and security documentation including topology diagrams, IP schemes, and configuration standards

Participate in network capacity planning and bandwidth management

Manage LAN/WAN connectivity and VPN solutions across all hospital locations

Implement firmware updates and patch management for network devices

Monitor security systems including intrusion detection/prevention systems and endpoint protection solutions

Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents under senior team guidance

Participate in security event correlation and analysis using SIEM tools

Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for network and security operations

Monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential security threats

Administer and maintain security systems including security gateways and access control mechanisms

Configure and test security appliances and software solutions

Maintain and update security policies, firewall rules, and access control lists (ACLs)

Participate in vulnerability management and remediation activities

Manage antivirus, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and NAC (Network Access Control) solutions

Support security assessments and penetration testing activities

Develop and update network and security standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Ensure compliance with audit requirements for network and security infrastructure

Create and update network and security architecture diagrams using Microsoft Visio

Document network changes, security incidents, and lessons learned

Maintain accurate asset inventory for network and security devices

Provide technical support for network and security-related requests from end users and IT teams

Contribute to network and security awareness training initiatives

Desired Candidate Profile

Holds a bachelor s degree in engineering.

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field

Possesses certifications such -

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) - Required or highly desirable
  • CompTIA Network+ - Required or highly desirable
  • CompTIA Security+ - Required or highly desirable
  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) - Preferred
  • CCSA (Check Point Certified Security Administrator) - Preferred
  • Additional vendor certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CCNP, or similar are a plus

Experience in healthcare IT environment is advantageous but not mandatory

Exposure to security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management

Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, VPNs)

Hands-on experience with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and security technologies

Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in network administration, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity functions
