Nursery Head

Looking for a highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Head to take on the responsibility of managing an established nursery in Sharjah. Preferably with relevant experience. The candidate should be well versed with the requirements of Ministry of Education and regulating bodies. The candidate will be working under the supervision and guidance of Nursery Director.

Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

• Development and daily management of the nursery.
• To achieve and maintain high standards of education and care.
• To ensure that all the requirements of MOE and other legislative bodies are met.
• Running the nursery in line with environmental, health and safety and fire regulations
• To achieve budget and occupancy of the nursery.
• To market the nursery effectively to encourage prospective parents.
• Implementing a well-planned curriculum
• Supervising and planning of activities to meet the needs of children.
• Creating a caring and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.
• To work in partnership with parents, providing a high standard of parent satisfaction.
• To recruit and select staff as when needed together with appraisals of all staff
• Conduct internal training for the staff

Qualification

• Graduate with a teaching qualification,/NVQ Level 3/ CACHE Level 3/5 or equivalent, in childcare.

Experience and Skills
• Organizational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Flexible and adaptable approach to job
• Recruitments, Appraisals and Performance Management of Staff
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in independently running a nursery.
• Fluent English with strong written and communication skills
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
• Competent in dealing with conflict resolution and positive behavior management
• Knowledge of computer software and its applications
• Leadership skills and the ability to support, develop and motivate staff
