To assist and support in providing occupational health and medical consultation to internal customer at the assigned units in Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).
Key Activities, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Occupational Health and Medical Services Program Support
Utilize medical surveillance knowledge to assist to maintain the Nawah Medical Examiners Guide/ Protocols.
Assist in scheduling and tracking medical surveillance programs such as hearing conservation and respiratory protection as well as Operator qualifications, etc. to ensure compliance.
Assist with operations of the Occupational Health data system, electronic medical records system, including maintaining the active and inactive medical records to ensure proper handling, storage, and confidentiality of all medical data to ensure it is maintained and up-to-ate at all times.
Assist with Blood borne Pathogens program to ensure employees are evaluated in the event of exposure.
Assist in follow up care and provide direct inputs for case management and return to work guidance to line management to promote rapid return-to-work.
Regulatory and Compliance Requirements
Provide support for the management of the Occupational Health Services section and provide recommendations to the Head of Occupational Health, on needs that will ensure compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
Assist with the occupational health and medical surveillance programs ensuring compliance with UAE laws, regulations, nuclear industry best practice, and Nawah standards.
Maintain a current awareness of applicable legislation, regulation and guidelines relative to occupational health.
Occupational Health Risk Management
Evaluate work injuries and promote case management for rapid return-to-work.
Recommend risk management and loss control strategies.
Monitor and Report Health and Safety Performance
Support Head of Occupational Health, to develop and manage section performance indicators supporting the HNS annual targets.
Implement improved methods, procedures and performance measures for Occupational Health Services programs.
Collate, track and review performance indicators for the Occupational Health Section.
Develop performance reports and submit them to the Head of Occupational Health for review prior to submission to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist the Head of Occupational Health during internal and external audits of the Nawah Occupational Health program.
Participate in HNS assessments and evaluations of contractors and providers for the Occupational Health programs.
Coordinate with internal stakeholder for the collection of HNS compliance evidences as requested.

English: Fluent Arabic: Working Knowledge
Registered Nurse or equivalent.
Qudorat - (Must obtain within 12 months of hire)
Certified in Audiograms – e.g. CAOHC
NIOSH Certified – Fit Testing
Qudorat and/ or HAAD registered
4 years demonstrated experience in program related to Occupational Health and Medical Services including:
Experience implementing occupational health / medical services programs
Experience as an Occupational Health Specialist in a Medical / Health related field
Understanding of international and local occupational medical standards
Understanding of nuclear energy industry and its protocols
IT and MS Office Software Skills and familiar with electronic medical records systems
