Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Officer GSE-VM Stores & Material is responsible for all technical and administrative tasks related to the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) function. This includes preparing technical reports for vehicles, managing the repair and maintenance program, scheduling daily maintenance and repairs, and providing assistance and consultation to transportation systems. The role also requires close coordination with the Manager GSE-VM to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of mechanics and technicians, ensuring efficient repair and maintenance operations.
- Oversee inventory management using ERP asset management software, maintaining accurate stock levels and system updates.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Liaise with airport authorities to ensure compliance with aviation standards.
- Generate, review, and analyze preventive and corrective maintenance reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules strategically to minimize equipment downtime and ensure continuous operations.
- Apply strong knowledge of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), fire trucks, and sweeper machines.
- Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in day-to-day operations.
- Ensure a strong understanding of airside operations and related safety protocols.
- Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in vehicle maintenance, preferably in an airport or GSE environment.
Certifications (Mandatory)
- Certification in Sweeper Trucks and Fire Vehicles Operation, Maintenance, and Repair.
- Certification for Airside Operations.
Core Competencies
- Technical analysis and diagnostic problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in using specialized measuring tools and diagnostic devices.
- Good observation skills and ability to inspect equipment, identify issues, replace components, and install new equipment as required.
