Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site inspections and risk assessments, proactively identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions to prevent incidents.
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Manage and coordinate emergency response procedures, including drills and exercises, to ensure preparedness for any situation.
- Deliver engaging health and safety training programs to employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and other relevant documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field; a Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Demonstrates at least 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Has a strong understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Has the physical ability to conduct site inspections, including the ability to walk, stand, and climb.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
