• The Operations Manager will be responsible for project management in the field of Façade Access (FA) & Building Maintenance Unit (BMU)

• Provide the primary support to building designers, architects & consultants for efficient and practical planning of FA & BMU and Shelter systems.

• Manage projects and resolve technical queries for BMU Systems including design support, product selection, estimate projects, supporting documentation such as design drawings, specification requirements, direct strategy in consultation with senior management, streamline operation and maintenance.

• Handling projects end-to-end in external & internal BMU equipment including high rise buildings

• Supporting new project proposals, designing of layouts (BMUs), technical support in equipment selection for various projects in public private & public buildings.

• Reviewing engineering drawings for modification and correction for optimizing their requirement with the available financial budget.

• Provide direction, focus, guidance, support, prioritization and oversight for supervisory staff and technicians; implements new and/or enforces existing programs, policies, processes and procedures that result in high levels of efficiency, performance, and effectiveness; keep superior informed; be responsive to directives from superiors; support the unit, departmental, and institutional goals

• Direct routine maintenance, repair, installation, operation and diagnostic activities for large in-house maintenance trades staff, including establishment of work priority and organizational structure; manage work in progress and inspect work to ensure quality control.

• Perform contract administration and hiring of outside contractors, if required.

• Develop programs and operational practices and policies for an effective and efficient preventive maintenance, repair maintenance, and predictive maintenance programs; coordinate efforts with other organizational units

• Develop policies and work practices that result in accurate and timely tracking of work requests, labor and material costs; develops/prepares periodic reports detailing performance of the business unit

• Enforce work rules; holds subordinates accountable for effectiveness and efficiency; screens job applicants; makes hiring recommendations; participates in administration of discipline

• Responsible for the application of technology to the operation, such as computerized maintenance-management systems and/or electronic work order systems, and building automation system

Education/Experience –

• Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering plus a minimum of 10 years full-time experience in managing a medium or large sized multi-trade work staff or facility; or related associate’s, out of which at-least 5 years’ experience in GCC region.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, control drawings, and other technical data
• Ability to maintain detailed and complete records of maintenance and repair activities
• Thorough understanding of modern customer service theories, practices and methods
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills
• Excellent leadership and communications skills (Written & spoken English)
