Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


Your New Role

  • Lead the delivery of a high-quality operations service to both insurance and reinsurance underwriting teams, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and aligned to defined service standards
  • Manage and develop a team, providing coaching, feedback and support to enable strong individual and team performance
  • Oversee the distribution and prioritisation of workload to ensure processing, invoicing and credit control activities are completed in line with SLAs
  • Monitor team performance across production, quality and productivity metrics, providing insights and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including underwriting, finance and credit control teams to ensure seamless operational delivery
  • Maintain oversight of premium processing, payment tracking and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and visibility of key data
  • Establish and continuously improve operational processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, controls and service delivery
  • Ensure robust governance frameworks are in place, proactively identifying risks and maintaining appropriate controls and reporting structures
  • Manage resource planning and forecasting to ensure the team is effectively structured to meet business demand, including peak periods
  • Collaborate with external partners including brokers and insurance companies where required, supporting relationship management and issue resolution

About You

  • Demonstrated experience within insurance operations, preferably supporting underwriting teams
  • Experience guiding or supporting others, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop individuals to perform at their best
  • Proven ability to take ownership of responsibilities and operate with increasing levels of accountability
  • Confident working with data and using it to monitor performance, identify trends and support decision-making
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and functions
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and service delivery
