Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Machine Setup: Set up grinding machines by selecting appropriate tools, adjusting machine settings, and securing workpieces in place.
Operation: Operate grinding machines to perform various tasks such as grinding, smoothing, shaping, or finishing workpieces.
Quality Control: Monitor the grinding process to ensure that workpieces meet specifications and quality standards. Make adjustments as necessary.
Tool Changes: Change grinding wheels or other tooling as needed to maintain machine efficiency and product quality.
Measurement and Inspection: Use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to check the dimensions of workpieces and make necessary adjustments.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of work performed, including production quantities, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine or product quality issues that may arise during the grinding process.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and quality control personnel, to ensure the smooth flow of production and the achievement of quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification: High school/ITI
Experience: 3-5 Years (Same filed)
Knowledge & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require technical training or certifications).
Experience in machine operation, particularly with molding machines, is often preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
Attention to detail and quality-conscious.
Physical stamina, as the role may involve standing for extended periods and lifting/moving heavy materials.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
