Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop customizations in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) using PL/SQL, Forms, and Reports to meet specific business requirements.
  • Perform data migration and integration tasks, ensuring data integrity and compatibility between Oracle EBS and external systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues in Oracle EBS, providing timely solutions to minimize system downtime and enhance performance.
  • Implement Oracle EBS security measures, managing user roles and responsibilities to protect sensitive information.
  • Participate in system upgrades and patches, ensuring all customizations remain functional and compliant with Oracle standards.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development.
  • Conduct testing of custom developments and integrations, ensuring they meet specifications before deployment to production environments.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and deployment guidelines.
  • Provide post-implementation support and training to end-users, enhancing their ability to utilize the system effectively.
  • Stay current with Oracle EBS developments and best practices, continuously improving technical skills and knowledge.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential for strong foundational knowledge.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS technical modules, showcasing practical application of skills.
  • Oracle EBS R12 certification is highly desirable, demonstrating commitment and understanding of the platform.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment is preferred, indicating ability to work with diverse client needs and requirements.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, Forms, and Reports development is crucial for effective customization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle integration tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Web Services is a significant advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills are necessary to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with stakeholders and document processes.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies is essential in a constantly evolving field.
