InterContinental Dubai Marina , one of the five star luxury propertiesnbspin the center of one of Dubai's most vibrant and energetic neighborhoods with 328 rooms, flexible event space, full service Spa, and five international restaurant and bars, is looking to recruit Outlet Chef / Sous Chef for one of our outlet.
• In this position you will monitor effectiveness of workflow & Sequence of Service during service periods and provides hands-on support as and when required.
• Closely monitor the market list order to ensure compliance with the food cost margin
• Monitor customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback and complaints ensuring procedures for Complaint Handling are followed.
• Ensures that colleagues are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the department objectives detailed in the F&B Department Performance Plan.
• Determine the necessary competence for colleagues and provide training or other actions to satisfy these needs.
• Provide constant coaching, counselling and discipline to colleagues to ensure their capability to meet the needs of the customer and the organisation.
• Ensure manning and competence level of selected colleagues is sufficient for the department to meet the needs of the organisation and customer.
• You will ensure that all operational requirements are identified and will be providing direction to all the kitchen helpers including chef de partie s, demi chefs, commis chefs, cooks, kitchen attendants and stewards. In addition, you will communicate to your Executive Sous Chef any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant informationnbspand will have to attend & participate in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
The right candidate should have the following:-
At least 2 years of experience in the similar capacity in 5 star luxury hotel preferably in UAE/ME.
A good level of spoken English
Hands-on experience in international cuisines.
The Ability to lead a team
Ability to adapt in fast paced environment
Enthusiasm and commitment to the job
