Role Summary
IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Painter to join the engineering and maintenance team at voco Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for surface preparation, painting, touch-ups, and repair work across the hotel while ensuring safety, quality, and minimal disruption to operations. Your attention to detail and technical skills will contribute to maintaining the property s high standards and overall guest satisfaction.

What You ll Do

* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers or sealers
* Apply paint, varnish, or finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
* Mix and match paints to achieve accurate colors and finishes
* Perform touch-ups, inspections, and corrective work to maintain a polished appearance
* Maintain painting tools, equipment, and ensure proper storage of materials
* Follow hotel and local safety protocols regarding the use and disposal of paints and chemicals
* Wear appropriate PPE and ensure compliance with safety procedures at all times
* Work collaboratively with the engineering and operations teams to coordinate tasks and reduce disruption
* Provide professional and courteous service to hotel guests and staff when responding to painting-related requests
* Keep accurate records of tasks performed, materials used, and report issues promptly

Ideal Profile

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Vocational training or certification in painting or a related trade preferred
* 2 5 years of experience in painting, preferably within hospitality or facilities maintenance
* Strong knowledge of painting techniques including brushing, rolling, and spraying
* Ability to mix and match paints with precision
* Physically fit to handle lifting, bending, working at heights, and outdoor tasks
* Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills
* Customer-focused, dependable, and a team player
* Fluent in English
