Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Paramedic is responsible for providing advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care to military personnel, civilians, and emergency cases. The role involves rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and safe transportation of patients experiencing medical emergencies, trauma, accidents, and critical illnesses. The Paramedic works collaboratively with healthcare professionals, emergency responders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) interventions.
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients suffering from trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, neurological emergencies, and other acute medical conditions.
- Perform patient triage and prioritize care according to clinical severity.
- Administer emergency medications and treatments in accordance with approved protocols.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilatory support devices, and airway management equipment.
- Perform advanced airway management procedures when required.
- Provide pre-hospital trauma care, including hemorrhage control, immobilization, splinting, and patient stabilization.
- Safely transport patients to appropriate healthcare facilities while continuously monitoring their condition.
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and transport records.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Participate in emergency preparedness exercises, disaster response activities, and mass casualty incidents.
- Maintain readiness of ambulance vehicles, equipment, and medical supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, military personnel, and other emergency responders.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, or related healthcare field.
- Valid professional license/registration from the home country.
- Eligibility for UAE healthcare licensing requirements as applicable.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- PHTLS, ITLS, or equivalent trauma certification preferred.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Emergency Department (ER), Trauma, Critical Care, ICU, Ambulance Services, or Pre-Hospital Care.
- Experience managing emergency and trauma cases in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessment, stabilization, and emergency interventions.
