Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Park and Ride Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for the planning, design, and integration of Park and Ride facilities to support an express railway system, ensuring seamless multimodal connectivity and efficient passenger access to the rail network. The role will cover Park and Ride facilities from concept through design, procurement support, and delivery, ensuring alignment with passenger demand, traffic management, and integration with station operations and surrounding infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the planning and design of Park and Ride facilities across all project stages, from feasibility and concept design through detailed design and D&C tender support
  • Develop strategies for integration of Park and Ride facilities with rail stations, ensuring efficient passenger access, circulation, and connectivity
  • Define technical requirements and layouts for parking facilities, including capacity, access/egress, traffic flow, and user convenience
  • Ensure seamless integration with multimodal transport systems including bus, taxi, drop-off/pick-up zones, and pedestrian access
  • Coordinate with station design, urban planning, and traffic engineering teams to ensure alignment with overall infrastructure and land use planning
  • Support preparation of Design and Construct tender documentation, including specifications, layouts, and performance requirements for Park and Ride facilities
  • Develop solutions to optimize passenger flow between parking areas and station entrances, minimizing congestion and improving user experience
  • Identify and manage risks related to traffic congestion, access constraints, and operational efficiency, and implement mitigation measures
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, and operators to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with local transport strategies
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and relevant standards related to parking and transport infrastructure
  • Support integration of smart mobility solutions, including parking management systems, wayfinding, and real-time information systems
  • Provide technical leadership and support to the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the delivery of integrated transport solutions

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Relevant Engineering Degree (Civil, Transportation, or equivalent) from a recognized University
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation, parking, or rail-related infrastructure projects in Dubai, the GCC, and/or internationally
  • Extensive experience in planning and design of Park and Ride facilities, transport hubs, or large-scale parking infrastructure within urban or rail environments
  • Relevant expertise in multimodal integration, passenger flow planning, and connectivity with rail or public transport systems
  • Proven experience in managing both technical and coordination aspects of complex infrastructure projects involving traffic, access, and land use integration
  • Strong understanding of traffic engineering, parking demand analysis, and access/egress optimization for high-capacity facilities
  • Experience in integration with urban developments and transport networks, including coordination with local authorities and stakeholders
  • Certification or membership of a recognized and relevant professional institute or association is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions
  • Familiarity with international standards and best practices related to parking, transport planning, and urban mobility
  • Demonstrable communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments and support delivery across all project stages
