Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare wooden surfaces by sanding, filling imperfections, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and a flawless finish.
- Operate and maintain spray painting equipment, including HVLP guns, air compressors, and associated tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
- Mix and match paints and stains to achieve the desired colors and finishes specified by work orders or customer requests, maintaining color consistency.
- Apply paint and finishes to wooden furniture, cabinets, and other wooden items, following precise techniques to achieve a smooth and even coating.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating a basic level of education.
- Possession of a relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in spray painting is an advantage, showcasing formal training.
- Prior experience in wood finishing or spray painting, ideally with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience, proving industry familiarity.
- Familiarity with various paint types, including lacquers, varnishes, and enamels, highlighting technical knowledge.
