Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Process company payroll for all employees accurately and timely across multiple pay cycles.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into payroll systems.
  • Manage payroll discrepancies by resolving payroll related questions and requests from employees.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll reports and payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure proper employee data management.
  • Audit payroll data for accuracy and completeness, and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant management reports, such as monthly payroll summaries and analyses.
  • Coordinate and communicate any payroll system changes to affected employees and departments.
  • Ensure all payroll documentation is properly filed and maintain a high level of data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Stay updated on current payroll regulations, taxation changes, and best practices in payroll management.
  • Participate in system upgrades and implement process improvements for payroll procedures as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and management regarding payroll-related functions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll software and processing systems such as ADP or Paychex.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll tax regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate payroll issues and solutions.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial and personnel information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for payroll data analysis.
