Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: Drilling/Perforating Operation – Screens Product Line

  • Set up and operate pipe perforation machines for base pipes used in sand control screens, following engineering drawings and work instructions to achieve specified perforation patterns and densities.
  • Select and install appropriate drill bits, fixtures, and tooling for each job, ensuring compatibility with pipe material, wall thickness, and required hole size.
  • Monitor machine parameters (feed rate, spindle speed, coolant flow) and adjust as needed to optimize drilling performance and prevent tool breakage or pipe deformation.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of perforated pipes, including visual inspection for burrs, verification of hole pattern and size, and ID drift testing to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Deburr perforated pipes using manual or automated deburring tools, ensuring all holes are free from sharp edges and foreign material.
  • Document process parameters, inspection results, and any deviations in the appropriate traceability forms and maintain records for quality assurance and traceability.
  • Identify and report non-conformances or process discrepancies, issuing NCRs as required and participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on drilling/perforating equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn tooling.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and 5S standards in the drilling/perforating area, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Coordinate with production planning, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of jobs and resolution of technical issues.
  • Support post-perforation processes, such as hydrostatic pressure testing, installation of dissolvable plugs (if applicable), and preparation for subsequent screen assembly steps.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Education :  Minimum Diploma or Certificate from Vocational/Tech/Eng School of Studies
  2. Communication   :  Able to read, converse and interpret in English
  3. Experience   :  At least 2 years of drilling or perforating operations preferably in screens application
  4. With forklift license is a credit
  5. Working condition:
    1. Able to work on rotating shifts (8am-8pm – 1st shift & 8pm-8am – 2nd shift)
    2. Able to work in a non-airconditioned machine shop
