Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Diagnosis and Repair: Perform accurate diagnosis and complete complex and routine repairs on a variety of petrol (gasoline) engines, primarily found in light to medium rental equipment (e.g., generators, pumps, plate compactors, etc.). Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute routine and scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tune-ups, filter replacements, and spark plug checks, strictly following manufacturer specifications. Troubleshooting: Expertly diagnose and rectify issues related to carburetors, fuel injection systems, ignition systems, and associated electrical and cooling components. Performance Testing: Thoroughly test all repaired equipment under load to ensure optimal function, reliability, and safety compliance before releasing it for rental. Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all service records, work orders, repair logs, and parts consumption reports. Tool & Equipment Care: Maintain all workshop tools and diagnostic equipment in good working order and ensure the work area is clean and organized. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all workshop safety procedures, protocols, and company regulations when handling equipment, chemicals, and fuels.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual who meets the following criteria: Experience & Specialization: A hands-on mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience specializing in the repair and maintenance of petrol (gasoline) engines, particularly those found in light to medium industrial or rental equipment. Technical Knowledge: Proven expertise in engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, carburetion, fuel systems, and ignition circuits. The ability to read technical manuals and schematics is essential. Qualifications: Must possess a relevant technical qualification or certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related technical trade. Work Ethic: Highly reliable, organized, and capable of performing duties independently while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in a busy workshop environment. Safety Focus: Committed to adhering to all workshop safety procedures and protocols at all times. Physical Ability: Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of a full-time workshop role. Language: Basic proficiency in English (reading technical manuals and communicating with supervisors/team) is strongly preferred. Location Preference: Candidates currently residing in the UAE/GCC or those with prior Gulf experience will be highly regarded
