Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and review piping engineering deliverables including Piping Layouts, General Arrangement drawings, Isometrics, Tie-in schedules, and MTOs.
- Perform piping design and stress analysis activities for onshore oil & gas facilities (process units, utilities, pipe racks, equipment piping , etc .).
- Review and interpret P&IDs, project specifications, vendor data, and engineering inputs from other disciplines.
- Ensure piping design aligns with process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation requirements.
- Conduct 3D model review sessions (e .g ., using AVEVA E3D , PDMS , SP3D) and provide design optimization recommendations.
- Review piping stress reports, flexibility analyses, support designs, and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
- Support material selection, valve sizing, line designation tables, and preparation of piping specifications.
- Coordinate with procurement and provide technical support during vendor document reviews.
- Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP/HAZID sessions, and constructability reviews.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant standards (ASME B31 .3 , API , ASTM , etc .) and company QA/QC procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Piping, or related Engineering discipline.
- 6-12 years of experience in piping engineering for onshore oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering / Detail Design phases.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling and piping design tools (e.g., E3D, PDMS, SP3D).
- Hands-on experience in piping stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent software.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).
- Previous experience with EPC contractors or engineering consultancies is an advantage.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and technical reporting skills.
