Roles & Responsibilities

Wood is currently sourcing for a Piping Maintenance Supervisor to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq. This is a full-time onsite position in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

Expected:

  • Minimum 10 years working experience.
  • Experience supervision and managing operation maintenance team.
  • Piping-Static Equipment Knowledge:
  • API 650 Storage Tank Design.
  • API 653 Storage Tank Inspector.
  • ASME B31.3, B31.4, dan B31.8 Piping Design.
  • API SPEC 15HR Fiberglass Line.
  • API 570 Piping Inspector.
  • ASME Sec. VIII Pressure Vessel Design.
  • API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector.
  • Coatings Systems, N.A.C.E.
  • GRE / GRP & Carbon Steel Wrap Systems.

Skills:

  • Language English and Arabic Proficiency.
  • Understanding Project Managements.
  • Good awareness in Safety Operations, Risk Assessment, and Best Practice Engineering.

Systems:

  • MS Projects / Primavera (Project Management System).

Develop and implement detailed piping work plans and schedules.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other disciplines to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, and resources.

Interface with subcontractors and vendors to align construction activities with project milestones.

Supervise piping crews and subcontractors during installation, fabrication, testing, and commissioning.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes (ASME, API, etc.), and quality standards.

Monitor daily progress and resolve field issues to avoid delays.

Enforce site safety policies and procedures in accordance with HSE standards.

Review and approve piping installation procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs).

Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, hydrotesting, and documentation.

Ensure proper handling and storage of piping materials and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of work progress, manpower, equipment, and materials.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Piping Section Head.

Support project close-out activities including punch lists and final documentation.

Participate in site Emergency Response activities.

Initiate and participate in Site Emergency Drills to raise awareness of Emergency Response procedures, and conduct team debriefs on conclusion of the drills.

Support the application of WQ1-FOD Policy in relation to the Drug and Alcohol policy, Company Ethics, Award conditions, etc., whilst respecting and protecting the personal rights of subordinates.

Report incidents both internally and externally (as per the Reporting Matrix) and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines.

Responsible and accountable for organization communicating WQ1-FOD expectations on job safety, health, environmental and security to Maintenance team.

Activities:

  • Maintain communications with the Operations Department, surface technical and other related documents to maintain equipment integrity.
