Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fabrication, installation of metallic & non-metallic piping system in line with project / piping specification and procedures especially for GRE/GRP/GRV Piping
  • Installation of underground (RTRP- GRE) piping system & Organizing training for the personnel related to installation of GRE & GRP pipeline including jointing system, storing & repair procedure.
  • Performing the installation of piping system by interpreting all stage of drawings (GA, P& ID & ISO) as per relevant codes, standards, and project specifications system in order to achieve operational excellence
  • Facilitating site execution team by creating work fronts and monitoring the progress to be in line with the schedule.
  • Experience in cutting fiberglass mat as per required pipe diameter
  • Experience in Flexible & Restrained Pipe Laying
  • Able to know the different application or use of materials such as carboseal; resin mat, woven roving, catalyst, hardener, styrene, etc.
  • Experience in GRE Pipe Adhesive Bonding
  • Experience & good knowledge in GRE Pipe Lamination Techniques
  • Responsible, understand and able to prepare all the required materials for any lamination work
  • Experience in applying saturated mat or cloth (mixture of resin/hardener & catalyst) into place on pipes, bends, tees, reducers, flanges, etc.,
  • Experience in mixing catalysts into resins, and saturate cloth and mats with mixtures, using hand rollers and brushes.
  • Experience in the repair or modify damaged or defective pipes, bends, tees, reducers, flanges, etc.
  • Must know the curing time of the applied resin materials on pipes, bends, tees, reducers, flanges, etc.,
  • Responsible and must know how to release trap air bubbles and to smooth out wrinkles on the applied resin mat using hand tools (by steel hand roller or brush).
  • Responsible in cleaning the finished applied resin materials on pipes, bends, tees, reducers, flanges, etc. using hand tools.
  • Must be able to operate and use the GRE tools and equipment:

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with recorded details in relevant field.
  • GRE Certification by Future Pipe Industries (FPI) or Equivalent
