Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and related documents to accurately determine material, labor, and equipment costs for plumbing, fire protection, and fire fighting systems.
- Prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates, including takeoffs, bid summaries, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for each project.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify project scope, identify potential risks, and optimize cost-effective solutions.
- Research and analyze current market prices for materials, labor rates, and equipment rental costs to maintain competitive and realistic estimates.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; a strong foundation is key.
- Holds relevant certifications, such as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar, showcasing industry expertise.
- Demonstrates 5+ years of progressive experience in estimating for plumbing, fire protection, and fire fighting systems.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of materials, methods, and regulations.
