Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview

The PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications and databases, with a strong focus on wealth management systems such as Advent and Prospero. The role demands hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and integration with financial platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers for wealth management applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and wealth consultants to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with ADCB s IT Risk & Control policies, especially in hosted environments.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and coordinate with stakeholders for deployment of fixes. Conduct performance tuning and database optimization for Oraclespan>environments.
  • Participate in UAT and SIT testing cycles, especially for wealth and trading platforms.

Required Skills

  • Strong command of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL tuning techniques.
  • Experience with Oracle 12C/19G, TOAD, and ERWIN tools.
  • Familiarity with Prospero, or similar wealth management platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
