Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.
- Perform critical path analysis to identify potential delays and proactively propose mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, providing regular updates and variance analysis reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate their activities into the overall project plan.
- Manage and control project changes, assessing their impact on the schedule and cost, and updating the plan accordingly.
- Prepare and present schedule updates and reports to project management and clients, highlighting key milestones and potential risks.
- Conduct 'what-if' scenario planning to assess the impact of different project scenarios on the schedule and resources.
- Review and validate contractor schedules, ensuring they are realistic, comprehensive, and compliant with project requirements.
- Support the preparation of claims and extensions of time, providing schedule analysis to substantiate the claims.
- Participate in project meetings and provide schedule-related input, contributing to proactive problem-solving and decision-making.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Holds a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the EPC construction industry.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using Primavera P6 scheduling software and other relevant planning tools.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequences, and best practices.
- Displays excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with diverse project teams.
- Demonstrates experience in managing and controlling project changes and assessing their impact on the schedule.
- Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with contract management and claims preparation processes is highly desirable.
- Experience working on large-scale EPC projects, such as those in oil & gas, power, or infrastructure, is preferred.
