Roles & Responsibilities

  • Planning Manager – High-Rise Building Projects Job Summary :


    The Planning Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling high-rise building projects from pre-construction through completion. The role ensures effective project scheduling, progress tracking, delay analysis, and reporting in coordination with project teams, consultants, and clients.


  • Develop and maintain baseline, detailed, and recovery construction schedules for high-rise buildings.

  • Prepare master programs, short-term look-ahead schedules, and resource-loaded programs.

  • Monitor project progress and update schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Identify critical paths, risks, and potential delays; propose mitigation and recovery plans.

  • Perform delay analysis and EOT claims (impacted as-planned, time impact analysis).

  • Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, and engineers for planning inputs.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.

  • Track manpower, materials, and equipment against the approved program.

  • Support tender planning, method statements, and sequencing for high-rise construction.

  • Ensure planning compliance with contract requirements and FIDIC conditions.

  • Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

  • Assist commercial teams with claims, variations, and productivity analysis.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

    • PMP certification or Planning-related certifications preferred

    Experience Requirements

    • 10–15+ years total experience in construction

    • Minimum 5 years as a Planning Manager

    • Proven experience in high-rise building projects (20+ floors)

    • UAE / GCC experience is highly preferred

    Key Skills & Tools

    • Expert in Primavera P6

    • Working knowledge of MS Project

    • Strong understanding of high-rise construction sequencing

    • Experience with delay analysis, EOT claims, and recovery schedules

    • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts

    • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI (advantage) .
