Maintain the plant s operations (Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and HSE), scheduling preemptive maintenance, managing productions assets
Reporting to : Operations Director
Managing: shift leaders, technicians and maintenance teams
Monitor the implementation of the safety systems to maintain safe and healthy working environment.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
optimize the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization s internal production capacity
Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
Oversee materials and inventory management
Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management including plan (in coordination with HR) the ramp up and ramp down of new headcounts for new production lines/projects
Provides guidance to employees and disputes resolution in coordination with HR
Conduct yearly appraisals , identify needed developments and oversee & approve the operations team training plan to enhance the employees capabilities.
Conduct short morning meetings on daily basis to analyze the operating condition of the plant, maintain the spare parts stock level, review the implementation of the weekly or monthly progress plan, review the EE (equipment effectiveness) and the unplanned downtime.
Update the CAPEX list to take the proper decisions regarding new lines... etc.
Coordinate with BDM and Sales department to schedule shutdowns for periodic maintenance works.
Approve all the purchase requests issued by the functions heads under his custody
Review in coordination with the QC department the customer complaints received by the commercial function to provide guidance on the proper handling of the complaints to maximize the customers satisfaction
Oversee the operations of the quality control section and quality checks to ensure the implementation of the quality standards (e.g. ISO). Provide feedback and direction regarding the monthly production plan to ensure the proper implementation of the plan.
Skills and Qualifications
Engineering degree (Industrial, electrical, Mechanical..)and a Masters degree in business administration.
5 years proven experience in an industrial operations managerial level position
Strong budget development and oversight skills
Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferably) and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Bilingual (Arabic and English), knowledge of French is a plus
Ability to work under pressure, willingness to travel for business
