Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and motivated PLC Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team. The engineer will be responsible for PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, electrical troubleshooting, on-site installation & commissioning, and providing technical support for automation projects across various sectors such as HVAC, Water Treatment, and Industrial Controls.
This position is based out of Vasai and involves pan-India travel depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC, HMI & SCADA Engineering
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic, HMI screens, and SCADA applications.
Support configuration and integration of automation hardware including PLCs, drives, controllers, and communication modules.
Conduct software simulations and demos for clients.
Project Execution
Understand project functional requirements, engineering specifications, and system architecture.
Assist in preparing engineering documents such as Functional Design Specifications (FDS), equipment lists, interlocking logic, and test procedures.
Perform control panel testing, FAT execution, documentation updates, and compliance reporting.
Installation & Commissioning
Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and handover of PLC-based automation systems across India.
Integrate field instruments, drives, and communication networks including Modbus, Ethernet, and CANopen.
Support calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization after commissioning.
Technical Support
Provide online/offline technical assistance to clients and operations teams.
Conduct preventive maintenance checks and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Train end users on system operation and maintenance.
Required Skills & Competencies:
1. Technical Skills
Proficiency in PLC programming (Schneider SoMachine, Unity Pro; ABB/others preferred).
Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA tools (Vijeo Designer, EcoStruxure, etc.).
Strong understanding of electrical control panels and industrial automation hardware.
Good knowledge of AC drives (Schneider Altivar series preferred).
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet, CANopen.
Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams & P&IDs.
2. Domain Exposure (Preferred)
HVAC systems (AHUs, Chillers).
Water treatment plants (ETP/STP).
Pharmaceutical & process automation environments.
3. Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Good communication skills for client-facing tasks.
Willingness to travel frequently across India.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering stream.
2. Certification or hands-on training in PLC/SCADA/Drives is an added advantage.
Work Location & Travel:
Base Location: Vasai, Maharashtra
Travel: Pan-India travel as per project schedules
Desired Candidate Profile
