Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure, ensuring a seamless transition and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in lobby areas, contributing to a positive first impression of the establishment.
  • Provide local area information and recommendations, enhancing the guest experience with personalized insights.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest requests are promptly addressed.
  • Safeguard guest belongings and hotel property, demonstrating a strong commitment to security and safety protocols.
  • Transport items such as laundry and supplies efficiently between departments, supporting overall hotel operations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of carts and equipment, ensuring operational readiness for busy periods.
  • Assist with setting up event spaces, providing logistical support for meetings and special occasions.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly manner, building rapport and fostering a sense of community within the hotel.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, ensuring efficient luggage handling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and assist guests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and emergency protocols, ensuring guest safety at all times.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and communication devices for efficient task management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to overall guest satisfaction.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness to interact effectively with a diverse clientele.
