Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design centrifuge experiments from concept to execution.
- Interpret experimental results and integrate findings with numerical simulations.
- Develop and refine experimental apparatus; SolidWorks use is preferred.
- Collaborate with faculty, postdocs, and students on multidisciplinary research.
- Publish research outcomes in reputable academic journals.
- Participate in laboratory coordination and research dissemination efforts.
Skills Set
- Centrifuge modeling and data interpretation.
- Numerical modeling and simulation techniques.
- CAD modeling for experimental design.
- Scientific writing and publication.
- Research design, data analysis, and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desired Candidate Profile
PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in centrifuge testing, numerical modeling, or simulation.
Background in SolidWorks or CAD-based experimental design is advantageous.
Knowledge in AI applications in geotechnics, geoenvironmental engineering, geohazard assessment, or energy geotechnics is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to work within collaborative research teams.
Demonstrated research excellence with publications in the field.
