Job Description

The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Post-Doc in the area of Chemical Engineering. The applicant should be knowledgeable of catalytic membrane systems for hydrogenation-dehydrogenation reactions. The candidate also should be able to apply suitable coating method to synthesize catalytic surfaces on membranes, to characterize them, and analyze the modules for separation and reaction features. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in research within the field, and have the capability to work independently, and to train train/supervise students in the group. Being familiar with CO2 hydrogenation and modeling of reactive systems will be a plus.

Minimum Qualification

PhD in Chemical engineering with follows;

• Ability to synthesize and characterize membrane-based catalytic surfaces
• Good technical writing skills capability to draft new proposals
• Quality/number of publications.
• Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role and supervision of students.

• Command of research practice in the chemical engineering field.
• Command of coating techniques
• Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab
• Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands
• Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace and to support students working under the PI group.
