Roles & Responsibilities

The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence applications in Civil Engineering and Smart Infrastructure. The successful candidate will join the Sustainable Civil Infrastructure Systems (SCIS) Research Group, contributing to cutting-edge research at the intersection of digital technologies and resilient infrastructure systems.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Advanced modeling, analysis, and optimization of smart civil infrastructure systems.
  • Artificial Intelligence/machine learning applications in civil engineering.
  • Emerging digital technologies for smart infrastructure, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Twins, Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Remote Sensing.
  • Data analytics, deep learning, and advanced statistical methods for large-scale infrastructure data processing and predictive modeling.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong research capabilities, interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and a commitment to advancing innovative, technology-driven solutions for sustainable and intelligent infrastructure systems.
