Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain electrical power systems, including wiring, conduit, switchgear, transformers, and distribution panels for industrial and commercial projects.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults and system failures in generators, motors, control circuits, and other power equipment.
- Reading Schematics: Interpret and follow electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation and repair procedures.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, local regulations, and company policies, particularly those related to high-voltage work.
- Preventive Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power systems to identify potential issues and ensure reliable operation.
- Site Work: Work collaboratively with other construction teams to integrate electrical systems with building structures and machinery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including installations, inspections, and repairs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Power Electrician, with a strong background in industrial or construction environments.
Proven experience working with generators, switchgear, and control systems. - Skills:
In-depth knowledge of power distribution and high-voltage electrical safety standards.
Proficiency in using power system testing equipment, such as megohmmeters, voltmeters, and clamp meters.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
