Power Press Die Maker/Fitter

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Die Maker cum Fitter / Power Press Technician for our sheet metal fabrication facility in Umm Al Quwain.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in die making, fitting, and operating mechanical and pneumatic power press machines (20–150 tons), as well as PLC & CNC wire and strip forming machines.
Experience in producing dies for fencing, scaffolding, and cable tray products is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, assemble, and maintain precision dies and molds for sheet metal components, ensuring accuracy and longevity.
• Operate and set up mechanical and pneumatic power presses (20–150 tons) with single and multi-stage progressive dies.
• Operate PLC & CNC wire and strip forming machines, including input and adjustment of feeding dimensions through control software.
• Troubleshoot and maintain dies, molds, and power press machines, ensuring smooth production flow and minimal downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections, testing, and fine-tuning of dies to ensure consistent production quality.
• Work closely with production, design, and maintenance teams to enhance workflow and resolve technical issues.
• Utilize 3D AutoCAD for design, modification, and documentation of parts and dies.
• Prepare material estimates, cost analyses, and quotations for new and ongoing projects.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and operators, promoting skill development and operational safety.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and quality protocols on the shop floor.
