We are seeking a passionate and innovative Principal Engineer, Smart Antenna Engineer to design and develop advanced smart antenna systems for airborne applications. Join us in revolutionizing communication and radar capabilities in the aerospace industry!
Key Responsibilities:
• Innovative Design: Create and develop cutting-edge smart antenna systems tailored for airborne environments, optimizing for aerodynamics, weight, and environmental challenges.
• Adaptive Techniques: Implement advanced antenna techniques, including beamforming, phased array, and MIMO, to enhance communications and radar functionality.
• Dynamic Optimization: Develop and refine beamforming algorithms to enable the antenna system to dynamically direct its radiation patterns toward specific targets or communication links.
• Signal Enhancement: Utilize direction of arrival (DOA) estimation and spatial filtering to significantly improve signal reception in challenging airborne conditions.
• Simulation Excellence: Model smart antenna performance on airborne platforms using tools like HFSS, CST, and MATLAB, considering variables such as altitude, speed, and interference.
• Seamless Integration: Collaborate with teams to integrate smart antenna systems with avionics, communication systems, radar, and electronic warfare systems for flawless operation.
• Performance Validation: Design and execute tests to validate smart antenna performance in real-world airborne scenarios, including flight tests, ground-based evaluations, and anechoic chamber assessments.
• Interference Mitigation: Develop algorithms for noise reduction and effective interference/jamming mitigation.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure smart antenna systems meet aviation and military standards and regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications and functional requirements.

Qualifications:
• Master s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in antenna theory and design, with hands-on experience in smart antenna development.
• Deep knowledge of electromagnetics, wave propagation, and RF theory.
• Proficient in electromagnetic simulation and antenna design tools like HFSS and CST.
• Familiarity with digital signal processing techniques, particularly in beamforming and interference mitigation.
• Programming expertise in MATLAB and C/C++ for algorithm development, simulation, and system modeling.
• Experience with RF front-end design, including RF circuits, filters, and amplifiers utilized in antenna systems.
• Proficiency in RF and antenna measurement tools, such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, for testing antenna performance.
• Understanding of relevant industry and military standards and regulations.
