A job opportunity for the position of Procurement Engineer Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.

Procurement Engineers are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring materials and equipment
essential for engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and Evaluation: Procurement engineers identify and evaluate suppliers to source materials equipment, and services required for projects. They analyze supplier capabilities and performance to ensure quality and reliability.
• Negotiation: They negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms, ensuring that the company receives high-quality products at competitive prices.
• Vendor Management: Procurement engineers maintain relationships with suppliers, managing performance and compliance with contractual obligations. They conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Project Coordination: They collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project needs and timelines, ensuring that procurement activities align with project schedules.
• Cost Management: They develop and implement procurement strategies aimed at achieving cost savings while maintaining quality standards. This includes conducting spend analysis and optimizing purchasing processes.
• Documentation and Compliance: Procurement engineers ensure that all procurement activities comply with legal and contractual requirements. They maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts,and supplier communications.
• Technical Expertise: They leverage their technical knowledge to review engineering specifications and ensure that procured items meet operational and safety requirements.
• Logistics Coordination: They oversee the logistics of material delivery, ensuring that supplies arrive on time and meet project specifications.

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduate of Civil Engineer or any Equivalent.
• 3 Years or more Procurement Engineer in a Construction Company.
• Strong skills in analysis and problem solving
• Strong ability to supervise tendering procedures and compile job specifications
• Possess strong organizational and site management skills to effectively coordinate site activities
• Ability to perform calculation, dimensioning, and control of concrete and metallic construction
• Profound ability to carry out safety analyses and stability and quality control
• Strong ability to plan and manage project resources and budgets
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve the best terms.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing supplier performance and market trends.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles and specifications relevant to the materials being procured.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Procurement Engineers play a critical role in ensuring that engineering projects are completed efficiently and within budget by effectively managing the procurement process and supplier relationships. Their work is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of their organizations.
