Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire procurement cycle for construction projects, from initial planning to contract close-out, ensuring alignment with project goals and budget constraints.

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, securing the best possible pricing, quality, and delivery terms for all materials and services.

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key categories including raw materials, commodities, ingredients, packaging, and indirect materials, with cost reduction and cash release targets

  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms, including pricing, quality, delivery, and sustainability commitments.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks across all construction projects.

  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive database of approved vendors and suppliers, regularly assessing their performance and ensuring compliance.

  • Coordinate with various teams to support operational needs and provide internal sourcing assistance.

  • Engage in audits and standardize procurement practices while maintaining organized documentation.

  • Prepare monthly procurement reports and ensure compliance with aviation audit standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction procurement, with a strong understanding of the industry.

  • Experience managing multiple vendors and categories in a fast-paced, multi-station environment.

  • Excellent analytical, financial, and commercial evaluation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and procurement tools.

  • Strong understanding of contracting, negotiation, logistics, and procurement governance.

  • Hold relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) or Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and specifications.

  • Strong negotiation and commercial acumen

  • High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and stakeholder management

  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
