Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strategically source HVAC equipment, parts, and services, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to optimize cost savings and value.
  • Manage the entire procurement lifecycle for HVAC projects, from initial requisition through to delivery and payment, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HVAC vendors and suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring access to the latest technologies and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess their financial stability within the HVAC industry.
  • Oversee the preparation and issuance of RFQs, RFPs, and bid evaluations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics, such as cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to understand HVAC project requirements and provide procurement support.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines specific to HVAC.
  • Manage and resolve any supplier-related issues, such as delivery delays, quality problems, or contract disputes, to minimize project disruptions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC procurement to continuously improve procurement strategies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for technical understanding.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as CPM or CPSM, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and procurement expertise.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in HVAC procurement, showcasing a proven track record of success.
  • Exhibits in-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry, including equipment, components, and service providers, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Displays proficiency in contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis, enabling the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Is fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Exhibits proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems, enabling efficient management of the procurement process.
