Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Manager - Procurement is responsible for managing procurement activities, including vendor negotiations, purchase orders, and contract

management. The role involves ensuring that all procurement processes are executed efficiently and that materials are sourced at competitive

prices while meeting quality and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, including issuing purchase orders, managing supplier contracts, and tracking deliveries.

  • Lead vendor negotiations, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery.

  • Collaborate with planning engineers and project teams to align procurement timelines with project requirements.

  • Monitor supplier performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, standards, and regulations.

KRAs and KPIs:

  1. Procurement Operations and Efficiency

  • KPI: Timeliness of procurement processes (measured by purchase order lead times and delivery performance).

  • KPI: Cost savings achieved through negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.

  1. Supplier Management and Contract Compliance

  • KPI: Supplier contract adherence (measured by delivery schedules and quality standards).

  • KPI: Reduction in procurement-related issues (e.g., delayed deliveries, quality rejections).

  1. Collaboration and Coordination

  • KPI: Alignment of procurement schedules with project timelines.

  • KPI: Effective resolution of procurement challenges (measured by issue resolution time and stakeholder feedback).

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Skills: Strong negotiation skills, vendor management, and familiarity with procurement systems and tools.
