Roles & Responsibilities


Position Title: Procurement Officer
Reports to: Manager, Procurement

2. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Procurement Office supports sourcing, tendering, and purchasing activities across assigned categories, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, timely execution and effective stakeholder support.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Execute RFQs, RFPs, and tender processes in line with policy.

  • Prepare bid evaluations, comparison sheets, and award recommendations.

  • Support contract creation, renewals, and supplier onboarding.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify scope and requirements.

  • Ensure procurement documentation and approvals are complete.

  • Monitor supplier compliance and performance issues.

  • Works under supervision within defined procurement frameworks. Provides recommendations but does not approve awards independently.


FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Supports procurement activities impacting operational spend.

  • Ensures value for money through compliant sourcing.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience in centralized procurement environments.

  • ERP or e-procurement system exposure


Qualifications and Experience (Essential):

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.

3-5 years of procurement or sourcing experience
