Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the procurement of goods and services in accordance with internal procedures and timelines.
- Assist in RFQ creation, price comparisons, and vendor shortlisting processes.
- Support negotiation efforts with vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules.
Operational Procurement & Documentation
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and maintain procurement records and databases.
- Coordinate with finance, warehouse, and requesting departments to ensure accurate fulfillment and payment processing.
- Monitor and track order delivery, resolving delays or discrepancies.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply performance and responsiveness.
- Coordinate supplier evaluations and maintain performance records.
- Escalate supplier issues to management with proactive mitigation suggestions.
Market Research & Process Improvement
- Conduct market trend research to support sourcing strategy and cost optimization.
- Recommend improvements in procurement processes and tools to increase efficiency and transparency.
- Maintain awareness of alternative vendors and substitute materials to minimize supply risks.
Skills And Qualifications
Education:Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are advantageous.
Experience
3 5 years of experience in a procurement or sourcing role.
Familiarity with vendor evaluation, contract review, and supply chain coordination.
Exposure to ERP/procurement software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement platforms.
Ability to analyze quotes, pricing structures, and market conditions.
Soft Skills
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
