Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Identify and evaluate logistics service providers (transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines).

  • Request and analyze quotations, negotiate pricing and contracts.

  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships.

  • Ensure competitive pricing and service quality.

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate shipments (local and international).

  • Liaise with suppliers, warehouse teams, and freight forwarders.

  • Monitor delivery schedules and resolve delays.

Cost Control & Optimization

  • Analyze freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Compare rates for air, sea, and land transport.

  • Maintain cost records and prepare reports.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure proper documentation (POs, invoices, shipping documents).

  • Coordinate with customs clearance teams.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.

Vendor Management

  • Monitor vendor performance and service levels.

  • Resolve disputes and claims with logistics providers.

  • Maintain updated vendor database.

Inventory & Planning Support

  • Coordinate with inventory and operations teams.

  • Ensure timely availability of goods.

  • Support demand planning and stock replenishment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. 2–5 years experience in procurement/logistics (UAE experience preferred).

  2. Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs procedures, and incoterms.

  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  4. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

  5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
