Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties.

  • Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.

  • Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.

  • Handling and monitoring of claims to workshops and vendors for defective, shortage, missing parts.

  • Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers.

  • Purchase and issue order in accordance to specification.

  • Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.

  • Source of new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors when the need arises.

  • Supplier Selection, Monitoring & Evaluation. Maintain approved supplier list.

  • Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers (local and overseas).

  • Comply with purchase dept. specific procedures and QHSE policies and procedures as applicable

Other assignments as and when instructed by the Senior Management

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications: Degree/Post Graduation.

Minimum Experience: 5 to 7 years or above post qualification experience in a structured progressive Corporate environment.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Ability to maintain organized project tracking & procurement system.

  • Extensive judgement and originality to plan procurement strategies for large scale acquisition programs or systems.

Generic Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and documentation.

  • Knowledge of equipment, materials and mechanical works.

  • Exposure to MS Office packages – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge in ERP software purchase module.
