Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Procurement Strategy Manager is responsible for driving strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, contract frameworks, and procurement performance analytics.
This role ensures procurement strategies align with organizational objectives, delivering maximum value and supporting long-term financial goals.
Your key missions will consist of:
- Lead strategic supplier negotiations to optimize cost, terms, and service levels.
- Design and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories (Marketing, HR, General Admin, IT, etc.).
- Oversee supplier selection and onboarding for all indirect and support categories.
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain procurement KPIs, savings dashboards, and spend analysis reports.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Operations to align procurement objectives with business priorities.
- Benchmark suppliers and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Partner with Operations Procurement Manager on supplier performance reviews and corrective actions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in supply chain, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with exposure to indirect categories.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement analytics tools, ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, World, PowerPoint)
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral to present and explain information in a clear manner
- Knowledge of compliance and risk management in procurement.
- Autonomy, initiative, accuracy, adaptability, and reliability
Context and other information:
- Two entities operating Duty Free and Foodservice in Abu Dhabi airport (13 retail stores + 7 restaurants) and Dubai airport (31 restaurants +3 retail stores) with 24/7 operations
- Operations might require extended working hours and physical tasks
- The employee will be asked to be proactive and provide support when/where it is required
- The official communication language at work is English
