Our client is now recruiting for a Product Creation & Application Expert
This position main function is to elevate the formulation capability of the Innovation Center by being able to formulate and develop the new product ideas generated by the Innovation team.
He/she would also own a relevant network and established credibility in Product creation and Flavor application sector.
The Product Creation & Application Expert is assigned to important functional and emotional Shisha product creations via also providing innovation/optimization of formulation criteria and principles.
Emphasis is to build innovative and competitive Products creation into the design of formulations so that the overall products are produced in the most efficient way, with the best available materials and meet the needs and expectations of the customer, business and regulatory authorities.
The role demands a broad and robust technical understanding of product formulation development, raw materials characteristics, stability and rheology, product entire life-cycle and shelf-life stability, regulatory requirements and trial requirements to enable the product industrialization process to succeed.
This key role is for an expert in the field, with proven experience, whose activities include creating, tasting and applying new products to help meet the Brand /Insight-led project brief, originate new commercial opportunities, maintain a competitive and optimized products portfolio, provide consumers with pleasing products ensuring extraordinary, memorable emotions and differentiating experiences.
He/she is responsible to develop specific application concepts and new product development concepts in close cooperation with Innovation Team, Brand Team and the Sensory & TCI.
Develop the Innovations lab equipment and the environment required in order to achieve the expected targets.
Works with Regulatory Team to ensure sustainability of product Innovations and portfolio.
Understands relevance of Consumer habits and flavour trend/preferences, product usage context, competitor flavour portfolio in helping drive the product creation.
Understands products technologies, raw materials and the impact of other ingredients of the entire formulations, to the final consumer experience.
Within the objective to develop further our approach to flavour, the role is a crucial one in establishing this area of expertise to become leaders in how we please our consumers, in how we manage flavour creatively and strategically as part of the total brand equity.
As such the role would be responsible, while collaborating very closely with the Flavour Houses, of building the Flavour tools, the language and the flavour application confidence necessary to effectively translate brand and consumer insights into the best taste and overall flavour direction.
He/she understand flavour construction, relevance of Consumer habits and flavour trend/preferences, product usage context, competitor flavour portfolio, has a developed taste/aroma acuity and can give informed opinions on the application of an optimised flavour.
Working closely with the Brand Team would ensure the development and execution of inspiring Flavour brief to deliver superior solutions that fulfil consumer expectations, create innovative experiences and are consistent with Brand identity and strategy.
Promote effective partnership with Flavour Houses and Raw Materials Suppliers.

Strong technical knowledge of products and flavor technologies. Excellent technical skills that allow to take on challenging product development projects
Capable of creating new themes and to guide products creation around strategic ingredients.
Skilled in technical matters.
Ability to work in an international setting.
Strong Project Management and Presentation skills
Food Technology or technical Bachelor Degree plus high-level training in flavor applications.
Fluent in English (further languages are a bonus)
At least 7-10 years of experience in the required field, managing cross functional teams in an R&D and/or product development environment, showing a clear consumer-centric approach with solid foundation in Innovation
Relevant experience in Food FMCG and specifically in Candy, Confectionary, Chewing Gum or any similar industry.
