Roles & Responsibilities
This Product Manager sits in the Digital Technology and Innovation department value stream and is accountable for the Web and Mobile APP, and for the loyalty program. While accountable for agile development, part of the development work, and third-party coordination is waterfall and should be managed accordingly.
This role reports to the Senior Product Manager, Digital. The Product Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end product development process from defining desirable, feasible, viable and sustainable products to launching them and ensuring they continuously meet customers needs and internal KPIs. This role will support the Senior Product Manager with the strategy, vision and roadmap for products within the value stream, as well as day-to-day operations.
This role will have a customer-centric mindset and act as the internal representative of the customer throughout the product lifecycle. They will leverage market and customer research to continuously understand market and customer needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, communicate, and maintain the product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
- Ensure alignment and shared understanding across teams on feature development timelines and priorities.
- Partner with Solution Architects and Software Engineers to define and maintain Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) ensuring product quality, scalability, and performance.
- Present the product vision, features, and milestones during Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions.
- Actively participate in daily agile activities to support delivery alignment and remove roadblocks.
- Measure product success through adoption metrics, customer insights, and feedback identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation.
- Provide regular progress updates, proactively managing dependencies, risks, and issues, and escalating to the Senior Product Manager when necessary.
- Support and partner with the Senior Product Manager on with the strategy, vision and roadmap for products within the value stream, as well as day to day operations.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including 3+ years as a Product Manager designing and launching high-quality software products. Airline or Loyalty industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of defining, delivering, and launching successful products.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle, including integrating customer feedback, defining requirements, and driving prioritization.
- Skilled in data-informed decision-making, leveraging user testing, competitor and market analysis, and defining key performance metrics.
- Customer-centric mindset, with a focus on placing user needs at the centre of product decisions.
- Recognized team player with strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience applying design thinking tools such as personas, empathy maps, journey maps, and story maps is desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM) are desirable.
- Experience with Agile methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, and Lean Portfolio Management is desirable.
