Job Summary:
To achieve maximum exposure for SMC interiors Window Treatment Covering Systems among Consultants, Specifies, Designers, Municipalities, or any other governmental or private institutions in the Western Province.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

 Key Tasks:

SMC interiors Window Treatment Covering products awareness development with Architects / Interior Designers, / Specifiers

Specific introduction of SMC interiors Window Treatment Covering Range through one on one meeting or group presentations.
Assist the Specification Area Manager in seminar in five star hotels setting for general presentation, or specific presentation or new product launch.
Assist the Specification Area Manager in Exhibiting at local or regional trade shows.
Introduce and represent SMC interiors as a company providing advance automation systems, and Technical Service.
Coordinate with the Technical Service Department personnel regarding samples request, and Customers Complaint.
Coordinate with the Area Sales Managers regarding specified projects, or existing projects within the SMC reporting system rules, & regulations.
Liaise with the Warehouse Supervisor for forecasting future stock availability.
Maintain at all time, a good and updated knowledge of the market including competitors activities, key projects, Owners, Consultants, Contractors, or Ect…
Assist SMC interiors clientele, and Sales Department with all the possible technical Information.

Assess projects needs and obtain all relevant details pertaining to specifications and bill of quantities.
Call on new Potential Consultant, Specifiers, as well as new Projects to expand the customer base.

Continuously, pursue latest product development within our field, through trade show visits, internet research and collaboration with highly specialized suppliers.
Developing database for relevant technical information/specifications that can be easily accessed and passed on to concerned individuals
Develop a comprehensive database of Architects/Specifiers, enabling SMC to accurately circulate up-to-date information, new catalog/sample releases, invitations to events, i.e. tradeshows, seminars, etc...

Work jointly with the Specification Area Manager in specifying SMC interiors products during the design stage.

Identifying what options are available.
Providing specification text, images, drawings, etc.
Assisting with shop drawings detail drawings.
Providing samples or testing new concepts/systems specifically.
prepared/designed Solution as per the Architects requirements.
Developing concepts through collaboration with SMC Automation Department or complementary suppliers, for example developing BMS solutions, through the coordination of a joint approach by various key systems providers; i.e. HVAC, Lighting, Audio Visual, Security, etc.

Routine Tasks:

Keep the Specification Area Manager informed of main market and competitor activities.
Maintain and develop a good level of product knowledge.
Always maintain and project positive company attitude.
Adhere to the company policies and procedures.


Carry out all the assigned duties as above.


Daily verbal interaction with the Specification Area Manager.
Daily update of the SMC interiors Data Base.
Monthly update of the project follow up list.
Monthly update for projection report.
Monthly update for the visit report.


Attend and contribute to regular company meetings, or training when held.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

A Bachelor degree in Business, Architecture, or Interior Design, Electrical Engineer, or Information Technology.
A minimum of 5 years experience in Specification or Sales.
Good presentation skills.
Team player.
Self initiative & proactive.
Techno – Commercial back ground.
Problem solving, straight, honest, dedicated, & committed.
Communication skills.
MS office computer skills & quickly adjust to any company data software.
Good command of English “Speaking – Reading – Writing”
EIB / KNX Certification is a plus.
LEED Certification is a plus.
Good Command of Oracle is a plus.
Excellent ability to develop and deliver reports, briefings and project plans.
Exhibits solid work ethics concerning meeting deadlines, reliability and confidentiality.
Manifests willingness to learn, to take initiative, to problem solve and multi-task.
