Production Engineer (E&I) Qatar Fabrication Company W. L. L

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Monitor cable consumption on projects. Produce report of actual consumption vs calculated cable quantity in cable schedule.
2. MTO preparation & ordering of project consumables as per agreed matrix with engineering.
3. Monitors consumable consumption and initiates top up where required.
4. Carries out package subcontractor coordination (HVAC, Architect etc.)
5. Procedure, SWO & MS Document preparation and issuance.
6. Review drawings for constructability.
7. Conducts project specification and requirement review with Fab yard supervision.
8. Support project superintendent to identify training requirements of personnel.
9. Leads effort for system completion and handover. Tracks completion and submission of checklist and ITR’s.
10. Participate in inspection of E&I equipment upon arrival in yard. Reviews installation, glanding, termination details against drawings.
11. Leads resolution of site clashes and proximity issues arising at construction stage.
12. Understands the full contractual scope of work, contract type and milestone schedules.
13. Participates in development of project fabrication execution plan to meet contract requirements most productively.
14. Develops a work pack index and sets priorities and ROS dates for deliverables.
15. Prepare project specific task listing.
16. At commencement of the project participate in fabrication kick-off meeting.
17. Forecast fabrication requirements (deliverable inputs) to meet the project contract schedule.
18. Coordinates with MTO, warehouse, drafting teams to issue work packs.
19. Review and understand manhour estimate. Ensure estimates are correct. Provide feedback to the estimation department where required.
20. Issues work packs and follows up all activities for work pack execution.
21. Carries out progress reporting on the project.
22. Reviews weekly fabrication progress reports for progress and productivity. Acts on anomalies.
23. Responsible for documenting all scopes of work changes (change orders) and coordinating AFC estimate updates.
24. Reviews input deliverable forecast dates (material & drawings) and advises impact to fabrication schedule.
25. Appraises Senior Production Engineer or Fabrication Operations Engineer of any project issues which affect the forecasted progress, productivity, and schedule commitments.
26. Prepare technical queries/correspondence to be issued to the client.
27. Provides field guidance to meet project specifications, schedule, and targets.
28. Participates and provides feedback on regular sites and look ahead meetings.
29. Coordinates with subcontractors for completion of work.
30. Raises variance orders to capture extra works not part of AFC estimates.
31. Identify items requiring support from the construction engineering team. Coordinates and follows up to get required input.
