Our client is now recruiting for a Production Manager
We are seeking a customer-focused engineering professional to successfully support safe and reliable plant operations by applying knowledge and leadership skills gained through experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry. Under broad direction, leads and directs daily warehouse and plant operations for a batch chemical reaction and blending facility for the purpose of ensuring the delivery of world-class safety, quality customer service, and facility efficiency.
Collaborates with the Plant Leadership Team to ensure short and long term goals for plant production are met.
Lead or work on a project team responsible for the construction, commissioning, and startup of complex systems at the facility.
Ensure that all work is executed to appropriate standards through implementation, testing and documentation.
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Willing and able to support plant operations 24 x 7 (including holidays, weekends and evenings as required)
Occasionally has customer contact for the purpose of verifying customer needs and service quality.
Manages the work activities of the plant personnel to ensure smooth, reliable execution all operational activities.
Utilizes personnel and equipment in a manner that maximizes the efficiency and safe operation of the warehouse and plant process areas.
Assists in planning and budgeting processes for the plant.
Other responsibilities include manufacturing expenses, budget expenses, CAPEX, and accounting duties.
Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center s viability of its quality of service via personal contributions.
Acts as primary backfill for Plant Manager
A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in plant operations (i.e., Petrochemical, Refining, Specialty Chemicals).
Engineering degree required (Bachelors in Chemical Engineering preferred)
Experience in startup of chemical or refining projects.
Experience with Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide handling preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation packages, databases, and other specialized applications.
Knowledge of SAP System
