Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to maintain project momentum.
  • Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular site inspections and promoting a culture of safety to minimize incidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents, providing technical guidance and clarification to the construction team to ensure accurate execution.
  • Monitor and control project costs, proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing change orders to maintain project profitability.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, accurately documenting project status, challenges, and accomplishments for stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site meetings with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to discuss progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and permits, proactively managing inspections and audits to maintain project compliance.
  • Manage and resolve on-site conflicts and disputes, facilitating effective communication and finding amicable solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Lead and mentor the construction team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional development and enhance team performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in construction principles and practices.
  • Holds a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role, demonstrating proven experience in managing complex construction projects.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, and cost control, with the ability to effectively manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent, showcasing a commitment to professional development and safety.
  • Possesses strong technical skills, including proficiency in construction software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD) and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Exhibits exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and managing diverse teams and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, make sound decisions, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Exhibits a strong commitment to safety and quality, with a proven track record of implementing and enforcing safety protocols and delivering high-quality construction projects.
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates fluency in English (written and spoken) and any other language required by the project location, facilitating effective communication with all project stakeholders.
